There is a lot of buzz about the year 2012. The end of the Mayan calendar and various mythological and religious prophecies all point toward something significant happening. The past year was punctuated with global warming, volcanic eruptions, fierce storms, floods, earthquakes, tsunamies, fires, famine, financial upheaval and global social revolution. I have had clients in my practice express fears concerning the end of the world.
It is also a time of global spiritual awakening. The work of Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now and A New Earth, has been widely diseminated and promoted by a number of celebrities, most notable of which is Oprah Winfrey. Work on Consciousness has become a global movement where, barely a decade ago, it was considered esoteric (hidden), or occult (secret).
Some writers, most notably David Wilcock, The Source Field Investigations, propose that the solar system is passing thru a field of energy emanating from the center of the galaxy, an event that occurs every 26,000 years and is the source/cause of planetary changes and developmental mutations. A client of mine, who is a biological palentologist, tells me the fossil record confirms this theory. Wilcock proposes that our planet is in the process of moving into the next step of it’s own evolutionary expansion and is an event that we are here to benefit from the experience, to witness and become a more advanced version of humanity. In this model, the disruptions are a part of a cleansing process that will eventually birth an age of Enlightenment and prosperity, though the going may be a little rough before it gets better. It is NOT the end of the world, as some doom and gloomers fear, but rather the end of the world as we know it. Which is a good thing considering the current state of affairs.
If any of this has even a kernal of truth to it, it behoves those working on Presence practices to intensify their efforts. Notice how powerful a negative thought becomes if you give it any attention. This is an indication at the personal level of the magnitude of the energetic change we are experiencing. We truly can no longer afford the luxury of a negative emotion, but must direct all our intention and effort to maintaining positive focus. We are experiencing a quickening of unprecedented intensity, of literally Biblical proportions. Make BEING, HERE/NOW, the most important aspect of your existence.
I truly enjoy this perspective and am in perfect aggreement. Something that I would like to add or comment on is based on personal experience. Emotions can act alot like the earth changes we are seeing an intensification of. An earthquake or volcanoe is. Its effects are apart from its action. It clears and cleanses everything around its perimeter. If what is there in its field of activity does not resonate or bounce with its movement it will often dissove in the face of this intensity. Emotions are. They are significant indicators of thought and unconscious awareness held. Negative emotions often contain an intensity because they are held beyond the realm of consciousness and have been held in the dark for a very long time. Outbursts of emotion are behaviorial choices. Festering internally while seeming positive on the outside can be equally distressing to our being. Another choice could be to bring awareness to the energy in motion within ones body and allow a conscious recognition of what is held. By breathing one inspires our emotions to transform. We bring light to what has been held in darkness. All experience emanates from some part of our totality. Our earth is reflecting our own internal metamorphises. In this paradigm everything is always changing….evolving….present in the now. Breathing, responsive to each moment in its fullness. This is a choice I have found healing.
